CHRISTMAS AT EDDINGTON ON DECEMBER 11

Come and celebrate Christmas in Eddington at a free event on Tuesday December 11.

There will be a wide range of activities for families and children, including face painting and crafts. Plus, Father Christmas himself will be in attendance with gifts for the children. 

Family activities will be followed by carol singing in the evening.

BBC BREAKFAST FEATURES SUSTAINABILITY AT EDDINGTON 

To mark the 10th anniversary of the Climate Change Act, BBC Breakfast broadcast a story on how Britain is cutting back its carbon footprint.

The feature reported that Eddington is leading the way for sustainable living, and particularly focuses on Eddington’s rainwater harvesting system and sustainable travel strategy.

STOREY'S FIELD CENTRE WINS BIG AT WOOD AND BRICK AWARDS

The Storey's Field Centre, Eddington's community and performing arts centre, triumphed at two construction awards ceremonies this month: the Brick Awards 2018 and the Wood Awards 2018.

The building, designed by architects MUMA, won four titles - in the public and outdoor space categories, plus specialist brickwork contractor for Anglian Brickwork Ltd and supreme winner overall - at the Brick Awards and a further two - the commercial and leisure category plus the Gold winner overall - at the Wood Awards.

Eddie’s – a free community café at the Storey’s Field Centre - runs every Monday from 9:30am to 11am at Eddington.

Eddington school Christmas tree sale

FOCUS, the parent-teacher association for The University of Cambridge Primary School, is running a Christmas tree sale to raise funds for the school. Orders and payment must be received by 1 December.
