OPEN EDDINGTON SUCCESS
Thousands of people came to Eddington to see the newest area of the city as part of the Open Cambridge weekend on 15 September 2018.
Approximately 3,000 people visited Open Eddington, taking part in over 25 different events led by the renowned architects, professionals, and development partners who have all contributed to creating this new place.
U BUS EXTENDS OPERATING HOURS
The Universal bus service which serves Eddington will be extended from next month.
A new timetable will see the addition of earlier and later buses on Mondays to Fridays, later buses on Saturdays and a new Sunday service.
The new timetable will come into effect from Saturday 6 October.
ROMAN VILLA DISCOVERED AT EDDINGTON
The remains of a Roman villa are being excavated near Eddington.
The villa has been uncovered by the University’s Cambridge Archaeological Unit in a field next to the Madingley Road Park & Ride.
The excavation has revealed a rectangular Roman enclosure containing the outline of a ‘winged-type’ villa, along with a large aisled hall and other buildings.

Eddington Craft Beer Festival
Running from October 11-13 at the Storey's Field Centre, the first Eddington Craft Beer Festival will feature a range of local and national craft beers.
